The wardrobe malfunction on television has only existed since Justin Timberlake opened what turned out to be a Pandora’s box on Janet Jackson’s chest. Ridiculous, however you look at it, the furor that grew out of that Super Bowl incident. Things have changed, much for the worse, since that half of a tit was surrendered to America’s eyes for a fraction of a second. Dancing with the Stars has suffered and benefited from this wardrobe malfunction. Well, mostly benefited, I guess.

Dancing with the Stars has had two wardrobe failures of no, but nothing that led him to see a further bra. But, these incidents always seem to be about to happen in Dancing with the Stars, and viewers know it. However, what you may not know is that although Dancing with the Stars is broadcast live, it is broadcast with a delay of 20 to 30 seconds. So if something were to really go wrong, it wouldn’t show up.

The failures, and they are even a story, are an accusation by the FCC. If anyone can argue that breasts are more damaging to children’s eyes than the violence on television, I’d like to hear it. However, I will not do it because it is an impossible argument.

Dancing with the Stars may have staged her slight wardrobe malfunction, as noted in the BuddyTV article, but we’ll never know. We know it has caused a greater stir than before the Janet Jackson incident, and I think most would agree that this is a bad thing. But who knows? Television is good these days. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke, right?
