From portable air conditioning and space heater combinations to shower head and filter packages, consumers now have several options when it comes to multi-functional appliances. However, one of our favorite combination appliances has to be water dispensers with built-in ice machines.
We have all heard of the many health benefits associated with drinking sufficient amounts of water. Water forms an important part of the constitution of our body, it is essential for our survival and ensures the proper functioning of our body systems. As such, water dispensers are a great way to make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. NewAir’s AI-300S dispenses cold water and includes a built-in ice maker that produces crushed and cubed ice in minutes – perfect for frozen drinks in the summer!
Our product team got to test this great ice machine and we were amazed at its features and performance. In fact, we used it during our monthly company party, and everyone was impressed by its design and how quickly it produced ice.
First impression:
When we unpacked the NewAir AI-300S Icemaker and Water Dispenser, we really liked its sleek and compact design. It had a modern looking silver finish with an easy to set up control panel. Also, although it weighed approximately 53 pounds, due to its cubic design, it would fit on our kitchen counter with no problem. The NewAir AI-300S was very well packaged with lots of insulation and the unit was free of dents or blemishes when unwrapped. Included with the AI-300S was also an easy-to-understand instruction manual.
Water dispensing:
The NewAir AI-300S provided us with perfectly cold 39 ° F water and, best of all, we appreciated the fact that it could accommodate both bottled water and a direct water line connection. The direct line connection was easy to install and a filter net, drain plug for easy emptying, as well as a water level indicator was also included. For ease of maintenance, the NewAir AI-300S Portable Icemaker and Water Dispenser also had a self-cleaning button.
Ice making capabilities:
The hallmark of the NewAir AI-300S Portable Ice Machine and Water Dispenser was definitely its ability to make ice. The unit produced two types of ice, crushed and cubed, in just ten minutes. One hundred ice cubes could be produced per hour, and this equaled approximately 26 pounds of ice in one day. Also, when we opened the front cover, we found that the ice basket was deep enough to hold 1.65 pounds of ice at a time. This was more than adequate for our needs.
Overall, we really liked the NewAir AI-300S portable ice maker and water dispenser. If you enjoy ice in your drinks and want the convenience of having your own water dispenser as well, this one does the job wonderfully.
