Kids love the water from the tub to the garden hose and from the water table to the pool. Since water has always been a fascinating thing for children of all ages, of course there are tons of products on the market to enhance the experience. From bath toys and rubber duckies to climbing walls and floating basketball hoops, water toys are always fun and always available anywhere.

Little ones like the squirts and splashes of toys made for the bathtub, even if they’re in a pool, and don’t forget the many, many baby floats, little boats, and learn-to-swim aids you can buy. For many parents, having the float with built-in sunscreen, canopy or small roof is an advantage, as it reduces the sun’s rays and also the glare of the sun coming off the water. Baby can be shaded while swinging with mom or dad.

As kids get older, they can swap out the floating boat for a kickboard or pool float while learning to swim. Of course, kicking your legs while holding on to the edge of the pool works too, but with the fin board you can get around! And who doesn’t like the versatility of pool floats? It can do so much and is so simple and easy to use that every pool should have these clever creations.

Boats and floats are always fun, and as kids get older, many want to play their favorite sports like volleyball and basketball in the pool. Nowadays companies have brought out things like climbing walls to increase the fun value in a pool and of course there are always diving boards and slides which are great fun in the summer months.

We’ve already established that swimming pools are a fun and great place to enjoy, but of course, safety should always be at the forefront. It doesn’t take time to drown in a pool, especially for young children. The first thing is to make sure that the pool area is fully fenced with a gate that is locked at all times and cannot be opened by anyone other than an adult. The second is to never leave children unattended, even for ‘just a minute’. And small children and infants should never be more than an arm’s length away from a responsible adult, at any time in the pool or sundeck area.
