As the geographic center of Europe, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more

1. Prague Castle
The impressive hill fort, visible from most of the city as a result of its
scale and position, it was built by the Premyslids and makes for a great day
exploration in and around the many churches, palaces, gardens and galleries.
2. Old Town Square
The central square of this beautiful city has been a market since before the Middle Ages,
and witnessed much bloodshed by regime and royalty. The towers
of the Church of Our Lady before Tyn are a beautiful sight to admire while drinking
cafe in the square below.
3. Charles Bridge
As the main pedestrian link between the castle and the old town, the Charles Bridge is
hectic in summer but a worthwhile sight nonetheless. Offering splendid views of
the waterfront facades of Prague and lined with beautiful carved statues of ancient
residents, it’s a great place for a morning jog or a midnight stroll.
4. St. Vitus Cathedral
As the centerpiece of the castle complex, and over 500 years in the making,
makes a great lookout at the top of the south tower. The crypts are a must see.
also, as the resting place of the Holy Roman Emperors of Bohemia.
5. Old Jewish Cemetery
The jumble of tombstones in this epicenter of the Jewish quarter gives a rough idea
of the number of Jews buried here over the centuries. The ghetto came up all
around this cemetery and thus marked its importance on the map of Prague.
6. Convent of Santa Inés
This is home to the National Gallery’s collection of medieval art and remains a
monument to its founder, a princess who gave up a life at court in the name of
your faith It is the oldest Gothic building in Prague and a worthy item on the itinerary.
7. The Loretto
This sanctuary of the Virgin Mary, erected in the 7th century, has attracted countless
visitors to gaze at the priceless ornaments and admire the baroque façade.
8. National Gallery
The pillar of all things modern and contemporary, as well as being the home of the
Fair Palace. This Gallery presents more than 14 glorious works by Picasso and is a
A must for art lovers.
9. Petrin Hill
The wooded hill above Mala Strana on the castle side of the city is a maze of paths and
offers the visitor the best views of the city. The old Ukrainian church is a
architectural masterpiece.
10. Wenceslas Square
While not the most soulful corner of Prague, a wide non-literate boulevard with
trading company, its importance in the Velvet Revolution and beyond is
evident through various monuments that line this important square.
