The Powerball is a multi-state lottery that runs in all but six US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. What is Powerball and How Does it Work?
Powerball is a multi-state lottery game. Its jackpot grows based on the sales environment, and the amount of tickets sold varies from state to state. It also has a feature called Power Play, which costs $1 per wager. This feature increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, or five times. The 10x multiplier is available when the advertised jackpot annuity is $150 million or less. The six-number play slip must contain five white ball numbers and one red Powerball number. In a Powerball drawing, six numbers are randomly selected. Five of them are white balls and the sixth is black. Matching all six numbers will win the jackpot. In case of a tie, all of these five numbers match up to the jackpot number.
