Night life

What’s a Flagrante without taking a look at the nightlife?

Bars are the staple of Greek nightlife, with new establishments opening every week. In the summer, many of the more popular venues, especially the dance clubs, move to temporary locations along the waterfront (check with your hotel concierge for the seasonal whereabouts of the clubs).

Frequented by people under 30, these clubs are usually huge, lively and packed.
Getting to them can be a nightmare, especially on weekends when the coastal road, Poseidonos, turns into a kilometer-long traffic jam.

Most bars stay open until at least 3am Drinks are quite expensive (around 6 euros) but generous, and there’s often an overload on weekend nights in the more popular clubs. Foreigners usually enter automatically; large groups of single men can have some trouble on a busy night. Most clubs and bars do not accept credit cards for drinks.

From September to May, the beautiful people of Athens make an appearance at Central to see and be seen in the cool and creamy interior while enjoying cocktails and sushi.
From May to September, Central is closed in the city; it reopens on the coast like an island, which is dreamily dressed in gauze sheets and looks out directly onto the Aegean.
