When parents are hurting with twins or multiple children, they obviously have to deal with at least twice the work, twice the baby supplies, and twice the costs. It’s good to see that there are at least some savings options for parents. The Quattro Tour Duo stroller, a tandem stroller from Graco, falls into this category. The Duo Stroller is a full-featured stroller that is reasonably priced. Let’s take a look at some of Duo’s finer points:

Quattro Tour Duo Seats hold two SnugRide or Infant SafeSeat infant car seats, meaning you can hit the road right away. These Graco infant car seats can be easily moved from car to stroller and back again, without disturbing sleeping children. Infant car seats simply snap and lock onto the stroller for a secure ride. Both seats have removable canopies that provide ample bassinet-like coverage for your children.

A 3- and 5-point safety harness system comes standard with the Duo’s seats. Safety harnesses can be converted from 5-point to 3-point as your children get older. Research tells us that it is quite common for parents to switch to the 3-point harness for their own convenience and for the comfort of their children.

If you have multiple children, you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say you have a LOT of baby gear to carry. I have used and reviewed many strollers and I must say that compared to the Duo, I have never seen or heard of a stroller with more storage space. In my opinion, the Quattro Tour Duo undoubtedly has more storage space than all other strollers.

Who is using this stroller?

  • Parents who have twins or two young children
  • Parents who want value for money use the Duo stroller. Parents find this stroller a good value for two reasons: 1 – you get a lot of features for a reasonable price and 2 – you can use this stroller for years…from infancy to a total of 90 lbs.

What is working fine?

  • Transferring your kids from car to stroller couldn’t be easier. Not all twin strollers hold two infant car seats, so if you’re injured with multiple babies, consider the Quattro Tour Duo for infant car seat load capacity.
  • As I mentioned earlier, you get a lot of storage space with the Quattro Tour Duo. But what I didn’t mention was how easy it is to load and unload equipment to and from the storage basket. Graco has an amazing load and drop feature where the rear of the storage basket can be lowered for incredibly easy access.
  • The only thing that surprised me about the Duo strollers is their easy folding ability. I figured since the Duo was such a big, sturdy stroller, I would have to give up the easy fold capability that Graco offers with their standard/single strollers. My guess was wrong, the Duo Stroller easily folds and unfolds with one hand. This feature is fantastic for parents with multiple children whose hands always seem to be busy, imagine that.

What does not work well?

  • I’m sure Graco’s SnugRide and Infant SafeSeat Travel/Car Seat Systems are fantastic and work very well. But I’ve been talking to a lot of parents who find the lack of choice detrimental. In my opinion, Graco would sell a lot more strollers if they were compatible with other manufacturers’ infant car seats. Graco strollers are only compatible with Graco SnugRider and Graco Infant SafeSeat… adding others’ strollers to your compatibility list would give us options and this, in turn, would remove barriers to the purchase decision.
  • Many parents I spoke to opted ‘not’ to get the Quattro Tour Duo due to weight. Have a full-featured double stroller that weighs 39 pounds. it’s not for everyone. You’ll pay a lot more money for a lighter, full-featured twin stroller, so the trade-off is pretty clear: weight versus affordability.

Why should you buy this stroller?

  • If you have two small children and are looking for a stroller that is affordable.
  • If you want a twin stroller packed with features
  • If you are looking for a stroller that has plenty of storage space under the seats

Why should you ‘not’ buy this stroller?

  • If you have or want to buy non-Graco infant car seats.
  • If you’re looking for a lighter stroller, in other words, if you can’t lift 39 pounds in and out of your car.
  • If you are looking for a stroller that is easier to maneuver.

Other strollers to consider

  • Joovy Caboose – A lightweight sit-stand stroller that is ideal for parents who have two children close in age. Parents who have at least one child over two years old… so that they can sit or stand on Joovy’s exclusive rear platform.
  • The Peg Perego Duette SW stroller: a tandem stroller that has all the stroller features you could imagine: large wheels, all-wheel suspension, adjustable, forward- and rear-facing seats…it even includes a steering wheel!

Recommendation

Parents of 2 babies or toddlers are certainly blessed, but as we all know, raising multiple children is a lot of work. Finding a reasonably priced stroller that has many practical features is a godsend. Stroller Shop recommends the Quattro Tour Duo Stroller to parents looking for a great value in their stroller.
