If you like looking at the “top 10” stats in Travian, you will probably notice that some of the most powerful players steal over 100,000,000 resources each week. How do they do that?

For starters, let’s tap into the mindset of the best raiders. Most of them are Teutons, which means they have cheap fast-moving units and carry a lot of resources for each raid they make. Many of them are on the top raiders list throughout the game, which means they constantly find players to rob each week. The best raiders also tend to have the best attack scores.

Taking these observations into account, a formula emerges:

Teuton + Mace Men + High Attack Score = Vast armies built with the resources of other players.

The one resource you can’t get enough of in Travian is time. But if you take advantage of other players’ resources by attacking the many players around you with the few troops you have, you will eventually have more troops than farms. At this point, you will want to travel further to attack more players. A thousand clubs like a Teuton are nothing; If you send 200 attacks of 5 troops each, you will get a resource gain as long as you choose players who are smaller than you.

When sending a small number of troops, aim to attack towns with a population of between 25 and 75 inhabitants. They are less likely to have troops and few crevasses to protect them. You will also wait to attack these players at night.
