When working in network marketing, quality is better than quantity. But of course when you have a combination of both, things get a little more magical. When choosing your business opportunity, choose something that is not only relevant today, but more importantly, in the future. Personally, I think things like online marketing and investments like forex trading are the way of the future. Some people are also having success in eBay marketing. Once you’ve selected your niche, it’s time to advertise it.

Before going anywhere, the number one priority is social media marketing. As you know, social media is the best and most powerful marketing tool these days. Facebook has about a billion users, which means that one in seven humans is on it. Personally when I started in online marketing I decided to create a Facebook group. I got a few dozen friends to join and left it at that. I checked back a week later and dozens of people I didn’t know had also joined. Within months I was getting 500 people a day joining and hadn’t spent a dime. Social networks are analyzed and indexed by most search engines, so take advantage of them.

When building email lists, make sure everyone on the list is from people who have expressed interest in your ideas. If they didn’t, your emails could end up in (you guessed it) spam. Someone who has already bought a product or service is gold because: a paying customer is a “staying” customer. Be descriptive in all your releases and don’t be afraid to share testimonials and success stories. People feel more comfortable when they can relate their situation to other real people.

The final ingredient to getting the leads you want is keyword optimization. Keywords are what get you to the top of search results. Do your homework on which keywords are most frequently searched for by the type of recruits you want and place them in your page tags and paid ads. Using the most common keyword is not exactly the best strategy, although it is useful. Using keywords that are less common but describe your pages is really a great plan. You may end up higher in Google rankings due to less competition for those words.

Overall, the gist of the message is that it’s important to get more out of the opportunities you have while doing everything you can to put quality leads first. In the end, that’s the way to put money in your pocket and secure a solid foundation.
