What is iWriter?
Well, iWriter is a bit like Elance or other article writing services that you can Google. Some require a subscription in addition to paying for your article, while others require you to pay per article.
You can also do a lot of activities including writing articles on Fiverr.
iWriter promotes the fact that you can write quality articles for just $1.25.
However, this is not specifically true.
You can get articles written for just $1.25. Not necessarily the quality you need.
The first thing you need to do is go to the ‘Request Articles to Write’ section.
Here you can initially apply for a:
- article to write
- an article to be rewritten
- a Kindle book, or
- ebook
You then need to provide a description of the project, the length of the article (this, along with the writer level of the article, will determine the cost of your article), and the language of the article.
There are three levels for writers looking to write your content for you:
- Basic – (all writers see your application)
- Premium: (Writers with a score of 4.1 or more out of 5 will see your request)
- Elite – (writers with a score of 4.6 or more out of 5 will see your application)
Depending on the level of the writer and the length of your article will determine the price of your article.
For example, the following prices would apply:
400 word article
- Basic – $2.50
- Premium – $5.50
- Elite – $8
Or for a 500-word article, the following process would apply:
- Basic – $3
- Premium – $5.50
- Elite – $10
When you go with the basic option, all writers see your article, and some have ratings as low as 2 out of 5. So, naturally, the articles these writers produce aren’t always of high enough quality.
They’re also auto-approved if you don’t review them within 72 hours, though I’ve known cases where articles get auto-approved in less than 72 hours before leaving you articles that are subpar at best.
From experience, going cheap and making it available to all writers is not a very wise choice. Articles are written very quickly to be honest, but since they usually don’t meet the required standard, it means you have to keep rejecting these articles just to get more of the same poor quality.
A better option, which I didn’t try to be honest but may do in the future, is to go for writers who have a rating of 4.1 or higher out of 5. The articles will be of a higher standard and maybe what they’re looking for. Alternatively, you can go for the better option of making your request only available to those writers with a rating of 4.6 or higher out of 5. The quality will most likely go up a notch again and you just might get the article you want. written for the quality you want.
Overall, I’d say iWriter is worth a try, but remember you won’t be paying $1.25 per article and you’ll need to keep checking the articles you receive to see if they meet the quality you want. If not verified, they will be self-approved.
