If you’re thinking of getting your own PS3, this PlayStation 3 review will tell you about its pros and cons:

First of all, we would like to say that the main advantage of the console system is its excellent graphics. Most people argue that the PS3’s graphics are considerably better than the X-box’s, but this is mostly subjective. I, however, think the PlayStation 3 is the real winner when it comes to graphics. They are sharp, crisp and yes, almost perfect.

PlayStation 3 games are all in Bluray DVD format, which can hold a lot more information than the average DVD. Although the X-box 360 console is also compatible with the Bluray DVD format, it does not come with the package; you will need to purchase the Bluray DVD player separately. Other features include a Wi-Fi connection, which means you can browse the web and play games online through the console.

Online gaming is one of the best features of PlayStation. You have the opportunity to compete with other PS3 players, moreover, you can do it without additional costs. This is what differentiates it from the 360 console, since the latter will only allow you to play online for a fee.

The games are also just as amazing. Legendary games like Final Fantasy XIII, Grand Theft Auto 4, God of War III, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Super Street Fighter IV appear on the PlayStation 3 console.

Another of its advantages is its motion-sensitive control, although honestly not as advanced as the Nintendo Wii. PlayStation 3 games will still leave you stuck on your butt; motion-sensitive capabilities remain a mostly useless feature for now.

Of course, one of its most notable advantages is its enormous memory capacity, with around 40 GB, 60 GB and 80 GB.

What are the cons present in the Sony game console? Not much, in our opinion.

When considering a purchase, especially electronics, we typically consider the price of the product first. And boy, is Sony’s game console not exactly cheap: the price is steep, around US$399! That’s a lot of money, we admit, compared to $149 for the Xbox and $249 for the Wii.

Programming Sony game console can also be a bit difficult, especially for the newbies.

Many people are also disappointed with the lack of vibration function on the PS3 controller, which can take the thrill out of the gaming experience.

If you weigh the pros and cons of Sony’s console, you’ll see how much the pros outweigh the cons! The bottom line is that it is simply excellent! It’s up to you to buy or not the console.
