So I jumped into the shower and went through my normal morning ritual, which included washing my face with Urth Face Wash. I quickly jumped up and dried myself. Now it was time to crack open my tub of Urth Shave Formula and see why so many men trust Urth with their morning shave.
I opened the tub and removed the protective seal. The first thing I noticed was the distinctive Shave Formula color. The color is similar to butter and has an iridescent sheen. This was the first shaving cream I have seen in this distinctive color.
Next, I sniffed the Urth Shave Formula to see if I liked the smell. It has a very distinct and clean smell. It smells like a high quality bar of soap. But don’t let that fool you, I did read the ingredients list and there are no harsh detergents or anything that will irritate your skin. Only high-quality, Asian-inspired ingredients.
The next and obviously most important test was applying it to my skin and shaving my face. So I scooped out a dime-sized amount with my finger and started applying it to my face. I immediately noticed how rich this shaving cream was, and I mean that in a good way. I can tell right away that Urths Shave Formula was designed to protect and moisturize your skin while you shave. It applied extremely easily and did not dry out as quickly as other cream based shave products.
So now that my face had an even layer of Shave Formula, it was time to grab my trusty razor and put the shaving cream to the test. I started on one side of my face and shaved down following the grain of my facial hair. I was impressed by how smoothly my razor slid across my face in one motion. What was left was an extremely close shave with no irritation of any kind. So I finished my shave and was extremely happy with the results.
It really shows that a lot of time and effort went into the formulation of Urths Shave Formula. It’s not too thick, it’s not too thin, it doesn’t dry out quickly, and it has tons of moisturizers to keep your face moisturized and irritation free.
After I finished shaving, I rinsed my face and towel dried it. I didn’t apply any type of aftershave or facial lotion because I wanted to see if the moisturizers in Urths Shave Formula had kept my skin hydrated during the shave. So after two or three minutes I checked how the skin on my face felt and as I suspected my face was really soft, smooth and not dry and anyway.
I have tried many shaving creams and gels, but I have to say that Urth Shave Formula is at the top of the list if you have sensitive or dry skin. The amount of moisturizers and essential oils in Shave Formula is truly impressive. One of my main problems when I shave is that after I finish, the skin on my face feels very tight and dry. I didn’t experience any of this with Urth Skin Solutions for Men Shave Formula, and at the same time I got an extremely close shave.
Another great aspect of this shaving cream is that you only have to use a small amount to cover your entire face and neck. What this means is that a 6 ounce tub will last you a long time! So it’s definitely a great value when you consider how long it’s going to last you.
I am very impressed with all of the Urth Skin Solutions for Men products that I have tried so far, and Shave Formula only strengthened my opinion of the brand. I would definitely recommend this shaving cream to one and all. I especially urge men with dry or sensitive skin to give this shaving cream a try.
