If you want to know the 8 best bodyweight exercises known to man, keep reading. I have created what I believe to be the best exercises for a total body makeover.

After more than 30 years of training and experimentation, I have completed the 8 most intense exercises that produce results for developing strength, conditioning, agility, quickness, body awareness, and most of all, athleticism.

They are: push-ups, burpees, prisoner squat thrusts, steps (at least 10″ to 18″ high), pull-ups, crawls, sprints/hill runs, and jump rope.

Today everyone has the answer and most of the time it comes in a tricky riddle. Most think that the longer, more complicated, and fresher a workout looks, it has to be the best way to train. And guess what? People still don’t seem to get it.

It all comes down to what you’ve been told, what you’ve read, and what you believe. It all comes down to hard work, and I will continue to push the hard work approach to building real fitness that will improve every area of your life physically and mentally.

There are plenty of great bodyweight exercises for building strength and conditioning, but I want the most effective and results-producing exercises to get results.

I chose the basic bodyweight exercises, because you need almost no equipment. All you need is the willingness to work hard and sweat. To step you need a step and the jump rope is cheap and can be taken anywhere. Pull-ups can be done just about anywhere you can hang, a tree branch, a towel draped over something, a beam.

One exercise I left out is “Dips”. I love dips, but it’s a little harder to find a place to make them unless you have a dip rack. But include whenever you can.

I leave you with this workout that you can do and that will make you think twice before complicated workouts.

Start: Do 25 push-ups, jump, grab the jump rope and jump the rope 50 times as fast as you can, drop the rope and do 10 burpees. Repeat this as quickly as possible for 10 rounds. Total work 250 push-ups, 500 rope jumps and 100 burpees.

A lot of work in a short time, and don’t let the simplicity fool you. So he left it up to you to see for yourself the results with a simple and effective plan. Life is complicated enough, why make your training the same? It’s the little things that pay off the biggest rewards.
