I often wonder why the Nintendo Wii is actually called the Wii! Last year, Nintendo released its new console called the Wii but pronounced “WE”.
It is called Wii because it emphasizes that it is not only for the young but also for the old. A survey suggested that many of us in this day and age are very embarrassed to buy a Wii, as it sounds a lot like asking to go to the bathroom!
Are we, as a nation living in the 21st century, really ashamed to ask for a Wii? Is it the name that really prevents us from buying a Wii? No I dont think so! The Nintendo Wii is a great console, it is ideal for fitness and the whole family can spend time together while staying in shape at the same time.
It’s something new, it’s something different from Xbox, Playstations. You can have so much fun that it feels like you don’t need any other entertainment! Wii has useful features like instant news and weather forecast. Wii’s FPS and RPGs may just follow, but they are completely different from the previous generation version, as the ps3 ones are exactly the same but with better graphics.
Okay, they aren’t cheap, but the console is bringing the whole family together, whether it’s getting in shape, dancing to the high school musical, or competing with the Mario Cart, in case the Wii name pronounced Wee really stop you from buying this amazing console. Wii is designed for a group of people, friends, family, etc. Wii is a great idea, cheap and efficient.
